version 3.3 of Fidus Writer is already quite tablet friendly, thanks among other things to the Niloofar and the "more" button that shows on small screens on the editing page. An exception are the overview pages (document overview, bibliography overview, etc.). The problem on these pages are the tables and the plugin used for this (jquery datatable) seems a bit dated. We have also had the issue that there is just a simple list of documents and not a way to group documents.
So I am looking for a new JS library with the following attributes:
- Is open source
- can work with ES6 syntax
- is available on NPM
- does not depend on jQuery or other standard libraries
- can show tables in a mobile/tablet friendly format
- can be used to show nested lists (so that we can group documents together)
- has interface for search and sort
So far I have come across the two following:
Both seem to offer more or less the similar functionality, with slightly different levels of abstraction. I have not looked at them long enough to figure out if they can do nested lists. Anyone with experience with any of these? If yes, any suggestions?
