Inserting math in documents is cumbersome. Latex math should be enable by default, with instant preview.
What do you mean when you say “enabled by default”? There is no way of “disabling” latex formulas. Are you asking for an import function of latex formulas?
When I want to insert a math formula, every time I need to select the “latex mode” because it is not set by default (default is the “math” mode, which is convenient just for occasional math). When documents require many and complex formulas, it would be more convenient to have “latex mode” selected by default. Latex language for math is widespread outside Latex (e.g., in markdown); therefore I think it would’n be a problem to enable it by default in a tool that is intended for scientific writing.
